Many companies generally operate their works as projects internally. The project profile in Blue Lotus 360, enables you to manage the activities in projects easily. It will help you to obtain a competitive advantage in the project-based environment.

To start with the project profile however, it is best to have an organizational sector which is specific to the project, as well as shared by all the departments of your company. By doing so, you can plan, execute and monitor for projects just like your other processes in the company.

Proper project structure is the base of successful projects, hence in this profile too you can identify the structure of your project and execute it easily step by step. The project profile doesn’t have a structure of its own, so it is up to you to incorporate yours to the profile by creating and customizing the categories and options that are offered in the Project profile of Blue Lotus 360.


1. Getting Started


•    To access the project profile, you can use the left bar of the system.


      Set up >> Master Data >> Projects >> Project Profile




Else you can quickly access the project profile through the search bar in the Blue Lotus 360.




2. Creating a Project


In the project profile form you can create a new project by clicking the + icon in the upper left side of the form. Once created and saved, all the list of the projects you are having will appear as a list along with the project code. You can also select a created project and edit the details by clicking the edit icon there.




After clicking the + icon to create a new project, you can see the below form appear.


Project Basic Details Tab



In the project basic details tab, you can add the basic details of your project. Project name and the project type are a must to enter since they are indicated as * marks. Project type can be vary according to your business and the way you handle projects; eg it could be a shipment, batch or a project according to you.


In projects, there are parent projects and child projects. Parent project is the main projects and child projects are the sub projects that goes under the parent project.


If the project you are creating is the parent project, you can turn on the Is Parent flag. If the project you are creating is a child project, which already has a parent project, you can turn off the flag as well as in the Parent Project drop down menu, you can select the relevant parent project once loaded.


You can fill the other details too as preferred, the dates, address, business unit location and the project status. You can also set the access level you want to give to that particular project.


If the project is an active project, you can turn on that Is Active flag as well.


If you have project categories, you can select them too in this form. Scrolling further down you can also add the rep and lead addresses for a particular project.



Project Period Details Tab



In the project period details tab you can select the date of commencement of the project, date of completion, date of revision and the construction period.


Project Cost Details Tab



In this tab you can enter the cost details of the project you created.


Other Details Tab


In the other details tab, you can fill any other remarks or description you want to make regarding the project.




Adv Anl Multi Select Tab


You can select the project ID and provide the advance analysis data and load them in this tab.



File Attachment Tab


If you have any file attachments related to the project, you can store them here for easy access. You can either load the file or can drag and drop the file.



After filling the tab and all the necessary detail of a particular project, do not also forget to save the project details by clicking the Save icon in the top left bar. After saving, the project will appear in the list.
